This week, we celebrate Halloween but discussing The Weird West, which is a genre of storytelling that is basically The Wild West crosses with either supernatural and/or sci-fi elements. Ray guns at the O.K. Corral, vampires in Deadwood, or time-traveling zombies in the Black Hills of South Dakota. We are going to focus on the monsters bit, and we have the perfect guy to discuss the Weird West: Author David Boop who specializes in supernatural tales of the Wild West. We will talk about his book “The Drowned Horse Chronicle“, as well as his time as a professional Beetlejuice impersonator. We will also cover why cowboys on a T-Rex inspired him to become a writer, and where his love a folklore came from.
